• Our officers have keys and are always instructed to open the shelters (if not already opened by church staff) when it is clear a dangerous storm is possible
• NO animals of any kind are allowed for safety and sanitary reasons at either church
• The department Facebook was updated this morning with Storm Shelter information
• The department electronic sign was updated this morning with storm shelter information

Manteno Church of the Nazareen (698 N. Locust Street)

• Enter the main doors and go to the right
• Usually the church staff has the doors open prior to the officer’s arrival
• For todays storm, the doors will be left open after 3pm by the church’s staff

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (207 S. Main Street)

• Enter doors on the south side of the church
• Usually, officers have to open the doors
• For today’s storm, the doors will be open and staffed after 4pm.
